I drove through that area last week and kept looking for places I recognized from this clip

That's Trail BC correct? My father grew up there. How is it these days?

Correct me where I'm wrong, but I recall this entire segment being improvised.

Photog showed up and asked JP what the plan was... Jp was like-- "I thought you had a plan." No plan. Rain. So they just created what we see. The dude on the bike was watching intently so they invited him to be in the shoot. The bus driver at the end had no idea what was going on, and you can see JP just say something like "We're shooting, can you just drive away like normal?" And the driver just rolled with it.

The backstory really serves the whole vibe to me about what the culture is all about. I love it. And so do my kids.

That was a tough few days for the ski community. We lost some legends.

That’s basically the story I heard. They shot it over the course of some down days and the bus story is so funny. Drove him one stop and let him off.

There is a good "Making Of" video here: https://vimeo.com/56454545

It took them days but a lot of it was improvised over time, locals/passers-by like the guy on the bike were incorporated, and the bus thing happened at just the right time near the end.

This thread used to begin with a link to a parody video, though that is long gone. RIP man.

That was pretty cool. Sad watching, both Roner and JP are gone at such a young age.
