    Unforgivable Blackness

    Wow. Double wow.

If you get PBS, check out this Ken Burns documentary about Jack Johnson (the boxer, not the singer).

    Finishes up tonight.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

Was going to post the other night and didn't get on line. That was a remarkable man.

Great commentary from James Earl Jones, Samuel Jackson, and Billy Bob Thorton, amongst many others I forgot.

Can't believe the level he was pursued by the federal government. All the man wanted to do was to return to America and not be prosecuted for violating a law which very clearly stated was not to be aimed at individuals.

Guy wasn't a saint by any stretch, but an amazing character nonetheless.

    Great documentary.

Horrible to see what the US was like 100 years ago, too bad we haven't made more progress. The hate and ignorance the current govt places upon various groups witihin and outside of the US, may be looked upon as foolheartedly in the future, who knows.

Saw it last night. Damn the guy withstood a lot of racism. I kept thinking did this really happen in the U.S. I guess times have changed. For me the best part was when Johnson predicted when and how Lewis would lose his fight.
