Colorado Crew Vail Pass booter session video

Well, since the snowpack still isn't very stable here in Colorado, we've been building booters at Vail Pass. SheRa threw a monster front flip (her first front flip attempt on skis ever......yes, she is unbelievable) and landed on her feet. She was soooo stoked, she had to go do it a second time. Summit, as well, was working out the front flips he learned at the water ramps this Summer. Elesquiador learned the back flip today and stuck it on his third try. I've been working on my own flippy/spinny things. (mostly wrecking though) It hasn't sucked, more booter sessions this week.

Roughly 10.2 MB, get it here.

    Thumbs up

Liked it, liked it alot. In pow like that, I may try something too, but on board, not a good enough skier at all yet, got some learning.

YOu went off B! Shera killed it too, you all did, but she went huge for her first!

Tell Summit he's going to break his arm or dislocate his shoulder if he keeps putting out his arm to break his fall when he shorts a front-flip. Seriously, that's a dangerous habit.

Although, the part where Blurred threw this big swilly piece of unidentifiable shit and his helmet fell off in mid-air was my favorite. Bwahahaha! Next time you call somebody a beater, remember that little gem.

PS. I've thrown those same pieces of shit as attempted D-spins. It's a hard trick to learn without first getting corked 7's or backflips dialed. You've got too much backflip and not enough spin.

    Yeah Buzz-SheRas amazing.

    phUnk-
Meh. just going back this week with way more air on a bigger kicker. Had backflips forever, my helmet went over my eyes in that one too, look close, I was blind through the whole jump being that my eyes were covered. Not afraid to be humored on the net, I'll be sticking it before the weeks over. Thanks for your 2 cents, I'll try and keep that in mind.

    Thanks for the props, folks.

That first flip was pure bliss. All you see is sky the whole time you do a front. Bluebird. Time suspended - I just felt like I was floating. And the landing was neck deep fluff. Vail snow is soooo good, deeper than anywhere else around here by twice as much.

Brett - once again thank you for making such cool things happen. And for distracting me from the bc while the danger was so high. And for taking the time to make the video. You are a sweetie.

As for my son, I called him that night I was so excited about it. He's all into surfing these days, but says he and his friends are are going to be shredding the gnar at Big Bear soon. Thanks for asking.

The thing I love about this video is that everyone in it was trying something new. Outrageous stoke level in our crew right now...

I skied in bounds. I went on a road trip to Crested Butte. I hit a booter. Now that the bc danger is finally settling down I'm back to my true love. Slogging for miles. The Gore Range is so freaking big.

Props to Brett for putting the helmet-falling-off jump in the movie. Who here can say they wouldn't have edited that out?

I like elesquiadors first hit. Then you zoom in and it looks like someone struggling for life down in a bombhole.

You guys had quite the sledneck peanut gallery down in that motorhome, eh?

    Looks like a fun day.

Nice job on the video Brett, but where's the audio on the last jump? I quite enjoyed the midair "Oh Shit!"

Forgot something: big THANK YOU to Lone Star for coming out and shooting that afternoon. Everyone should have a resident gimp.

Whenever you feel ready to get a little further from I-70, lemme know.

Looks like fun. I think you guys need a bigger kicker though (I'm not trying to disrespect).

You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.
