Thanks to a beloved and wonderful Ullr for cursing the PNW, this winter has seen the Outback put on some serious mileage. The upside is getting a chance to check out a ton of places that have been on the list for a while.
The motto so far has been 'quality days' instead of quantity.
So rolling up from Rossland yesterday morning with a groggy hangover still pounding my head fresh from Red Mtn debauchery festival, I was greeted by 1cm of new- but this type of greeting opened doors and seemed very inviting
After an entrance like that, it's pretty easy to forget how little sleep I had that night. H20 had been on my list for years- finally here!
Found a short, but sweet slice of fresh that had untouched knee deep billows. Milked this area for a while until I met up with MBS and a friend from Van.
I couldn't believe the pillow lines. Whitewater has some of the most intriguing tree and cliff shots I've seen, littered with these incredibly delicious pillow lines across the mountain.
(sorry-missed the action shot on this one- I suck at photos!)
Looking back up at some pillow talk
Then revved up with some gas and hit the road back to Rossland. As MBS and I agreed, this place will definitely be hit up again this winter.
Oh- and BakerBoy, I hope you enjoyed your nice car nap while there was skiing to be had
WH20 and Red Mtn are both high on the must hit list as soon as I get my liscense and a car. [Homer drool voice] mmmmm, pillow lines[\end homer drool voice]
