    So is this better?

The board's running at maybe 90% ski-related and the silly bastards are basically hanging in chat instead of posting. How's that working for you?

It sucks ass, there's nobody in chat at 3AM, and I don't get to read funny shit from the day before because it's all going into chat. Mr. Owens: tear down this wall.

The silly bastards are what got me hooked on this joint.
    I dislike chat.
    I'm less hooked.

Glad you cleared it up for me. I couldn't figure out what had gone wrong.

All the good stuff that keeps me here is still on the board, though (most of it, I guess). You gonna be doing any EC skiing soon, ice?

Recently I have spent about ten percent as much time on the board as I used to, the funny factor is way down here and that's what I go for. Personally I like talking TO skiers more than I like talking ABOUT skiing.

I was just wondering whether others saw the tighter focus and signifigantly lower goofy shit factor as a good thing or a bad thing in their opinions.

edit: Dex I'm game if we come up with a plan.

editedit: T minus five minutes and counting...GO PATS!!!!

Most probably know where I stand--more different stuff to choose from is mo better, mostly. I was just wondering yesterday where you'd been hiding.

I'm pretty much on the day trip plan at the moment, which can't justify a trip for you. But why don't you plan on the EC mini, which I should be going to at least part of. Get up here and we'll see if my car can still make it up there. After the most recent seven or eight hundred dollars of work I had put into it (don't ask), it better (after the 1200 last year, and the 2000 the year before).

I gotta read that thread - don't even know when or where the mini is.

Yeah, I did know where you'd stand, I was more just wondering about the general opinion out there.

I here ya Ice. One of the beauties of this place is having a good group of sliders talk about snack food and condom preferences in an accepting environment that only ridicules those who make primitive statements about the latest Vail fashion trends and "Which direction to place skis on a rack."

Chat can be nice because it seperates some chatter traffic from the forum but half of that stuff is what makes places like this worth visiting.

I don't do chat rooms because it takes me some time to think up this horse shit and without spellcheck people would think I was from Neptune.

The conversation lately (in the chat room) has been about bra sizes and panties. I don't know if the guys wait to have this conversation until either I, LAN or WSD show up, but I suppose we could move that discussion over here.

However, I really don't think you want a thread about guests or green.

I personally think chat is pretty cool. It isn't always stupid stuff either. For example it was cool to watch Basom and Bill disuss if and how they would be going to tahoe last week. And Helping WSDF get some files off her computer ASAP for a meeting when she was having trouble. But the poop, boobs and panties conversations are there too. Funny stuff.

Isn't one's precious internet viewing time better spent looking at naked women and the fun things they do?

I rely on yogachick to email or pm me a synopsis of each day's chat at approximately 2pm. It's kinda like reading the rundown on soap operas in TV Guide for those of us who can't Tivo chat. Although I noticed ice was logged in for days, but not actually chatting.

Not being funny myself, I miss the funny stuff/folks. The problem with chat (as I see it) is that it's too ephemeral - if you miss it, it's gone. On the other hand, much of what's funny in chat would be annoying on the forum.

    Bring back the phUnk!

Chat is a "suck you in and keep you there" type of set up. Oh, wait, so is the board.

I miss the witty banter too. Jack Handy? Where you been, saw you poke out the other day. Come back when you get a free moment!
