No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent
The ones I find myself using the most:
pdf expert - Excellent way to review and annotate documents/contracts, especially when paired with a stylus.
zite - News aggregator
WSJ
pcalc lite - fully functional calc that doesn't waste 60% of the screen real estate with stupid graphics that look like a cluttered desk.
netflix
angry birds HD - timewaster
Pandora
Pages - functional word processor, simplified interface that still gets work done.
various magazines - freeskier, powder, time, etc. (my favorite use of the ipad)
My bank's app (USAA) - USAA does a really good job with theirs, ymmv.
PocketCloud - remote desktop to your PC, servers, etc. I can't get much done, but it's functional enough so that I can check on things, restart services, etc. in a pinch when I'm on the road.
focus.
TGR app on homescreen, NWAC weather page, iheart, adult swim, blackjack/poker
Android has one called CamScanner. It makes your pad or phone camera into a scanner.
It is a really really useful app. Especially for me when I am on the road. I scan my receipts right at dinner or lunch, and e-mail them to myself.
I like living where the Ogdens are high enough so that I'm not everyone's worst problem.- YetiMan
cool stuff- keep em coming!
No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent
Dragon Dictate - voice to the text (even better on iPhone's small keyboard)
Office HD - office suite like MS Office
Dropbox - boring but mega-useful if you work between PCs and iPad, keeps all files synced (and allows you to have a traditional directory structure on the iPad). This is what allows me to run my business from an iPad
Skype - speaks for itself (groan)
I have a bunch of tv catchup/watch on demand apps but they are all UK specific. If they do them for your area or stations you subscribe to then worth getting.
Dropbox is cool, but keep your virus stuff updated on your pc, it's a huge hole for viruses to exploit.
If you cook, the Epicurious app is great, though it's a little buggy. But when it works, it stores all your frequently-used recipes and can create shopping lists instantly. The database is all of the recipes from Bon Appetit, Food and Wine, and a couple of other random magazines, so there's a lot in there (about 200 turkey and gravy recipes, for example).
Outlive the bastards - Ed Abbey
i put the DOT highway mountain cam for my pass on the homescreen, every 3 minutes i get a refreshed image on my screen while its open. been cool watching the snow pile up and track the road instantly.
Plants Vs Zombies HD - Freaking addictive game.
Cut the Rope - Another fun time waster.
Scan2PDF - Create pdf files with your camera (great for working on the go!). I have it on Android, so not 100% sure they have it on iPad, but well worth it if they do.
Man, you guys are slipping... http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shoe-...383026950?mt=8
what does it do.
LogMeIn - awesome remote access app. When I travel all I take is the iPad, then I access my desktop from it.
GarageBand is beautifully designed and lots of fun if you have ANY music creation inklings.
If you have DirectTV get their app. It's really cool. Control your receiver, record stuff, watch streaming channels, etc. Also a really well-designed app.
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.
Patterson Hood of the DBT's
Yes. Not sure why a pic doesn't work. There are apps that will take pdf pics too.
TeleNav GPS is OK, and it's free. I have Navigon on my iPhone, and it's vastly superior. Looks like there's both Navigon and TomTom for the iPad - contemplating springing for those. The bigger screen is really nice for navigation.
focus.
+1 for Navigon. Expensive, but worth it.
Airdisplay is killer - turns your app into an additional display for your laptop or computer.
Xfinity / Comcast is a really cool app. Allows you to browse your cable "guide" on your iPad and will control your cablebox through the intertubez.
Mystory - If you have kids my company has developed a really cool story telling app. Kids draw and record a story and coming next month you'll be able to send a version of the story to iBooks or Kindle (Fire) users via email. We're running a half off special on the app today.
My internal fear of the costanza wallet has me intrigued at the loyalty card app.
Personally, I hate those stupid cards that you "need" just to get a certain price on your groceries etc.. Just give me a fair price from the start assholes. !!
I will download this today and my 'unwallet" will be cut in half.

What if "Alternative" energy wasn't so alternative ?
It's called MyStory - Here's more about and link to the app store - http://mystory.hidefweb.com/
Hev, I just downloaded your app. It is pretty cool but one addition that would make it better would be the ability to change the pen line thickness.
As well as being able to use the camera to take pictures and add them to pages.
@Wannabe - there is a tool for changing the penline thickness. It's the dot next to the pencil/brush selector (your not the first to miss it) We're adding sharing (through e-reader's) as our next up feature and then we are discussing backgrounds and eventually "storypack" addons. Glad to hear folks are enjoying the app.
