    Evogear

I know others here have bought stuff from them. Any bad experiences? I'd like to give these guys the benefit of the doubt but I just had a pretty bad experience with them.

So, I'm looking for Christmas ideas for my sister mid-December and I know she's been looking for a shorty wetsuit. I see a great deal on some at evogear.com. I order the wetsuit on 12/16 and specify to have it shipped to my mom's since my folks and sister both live in San Diego. Anyway, the wetsuit never shows. I'm willing to give them some slack here, but I finally email them on January 2nd asking where the heck the wetsuit is. They reply immediately saying there was a screw up in shipping, they're sorry, and the order will go out immediately. Guess what? As of yesterday still no wetsuit. I email them again and say I'd at least like a refund for the shipping ($8.95) if the order has just been delayed, and to refund my order in full if the wetsuit is unavailable. Today I get an email saying they are refunding in full. Then I get an email saying they're sorry, but never really explain what the problem was.

After I read their email I checked my Visa account on the web and I don't see a credit from evogear. OK, maybe it just hasn't posted yet, I don't know, but that's where I'm at now.

So what are others experiences with these guys? I know they're local (Sumner, WA) and I'd like to use them because they do seem to have some good deals, but I really can't imagine ever (attempting) to buy something from them again.

Give 'em a chance, AD. The last six weeks have been hell for retailers and etailers alike. Shit happens, but I'm sure Bryce and the gang are doing what they can and will be honorable about the whole thing.

Well, I think I have been pretty patient about the whole thing. If I get my money back everything's cool, but they could have been much better about telling me what was going on. If they sold me something they didn't have they should have told me about this sooner than one month after the fact, and only after I contacted them.

Maybe my experience is totally atypical. That's sort of what I want to find out here.

They'll look after you. Bryce is a good guy but it's a small company, you're not dealing with Amazon or REI.

I ordered two pairs of 150 volkls for my wife and sister, two pairs of 180s showed up - luckily I was in Seattle and went to exchange them but they didn't refund shipping...it was still a good deal though, and they were appologetic.

I ordered three shorty's from evo this fall and everything came out just fine. The real shocker came when I found a pair of Lines on front porch after work one day ....I thought I was their new favorite customer. Needless to say, they had a screw up in shipping and the UPS guy came and picked 'em up soon after. They were really cool about it though and gave me a deal on some future shipping for my trouble....but there was a part of me that wanted to say....Lines? what Motherships? Nope, no skis here

I am the victim of an Evogear screw-up as well. I won an auction for a pair of 160cm AK Launchers for my GF; the box shows up, and they are 190cm!

A bit long for her; so I call them, and they're very nice, and say ship 'em back and we'll refund everything, and give you a great deal on anything else we have in stock. Well, they didn't have anything else in stock, and have never really explained what happened, but I'll get my $$$ back, so no real loss...

Just as an update Evogear did refund my credit card, so everything is cool. OK, so I realize only people who have had problems are going to post about it in this thread, but it does seem to me they could use some improvement in their process.
