    Boat bag recs?

Any suggestions for boat bags? Damn - the sure are expensive, eh?

    Simms? Patagucci?

Not looking for anything overly huge - just something waterproof (at least on the bottom) that can hold the same crap I stuff into a small rolltop dry bag. Normally stuff sunscreen, bug dope, small roll of TP, cell phone, etc. in there, and I would love something could carry that stuff in addition to a couple fly boxes (maybe a larger streamer box).

    Anyone have one they like?

If you are looking at regular dry bag type things, Watershed is widely regarded as the best, and by a large margin.

edit: just looked at a Simms boat bag, I guess there is a pretty big difference.

Go with the Patagonia. The Simms zippers suck and will blow out in a season.

I have had a William Joseph boat bag for 5-6 years. The compartments are much more thought out than the Patagonia or Simms boat bags but the zippers suck balls. You have to break them in. Then you have a period of a season or so where they work. After that they start to suck again.

Patagonia boat bag owers never seem to complain.

Rub some candle wax on the zippers.

I use different sizes of Sealline stuff.
I really like their stuff. It is pretty cheap too.

just got this bag as an xmas "gift" to my self! very stoked on the quailty and simplicity of it, its perfect for boxes, spare reel even the large hatch spey reels. For $45 it cant be beat, with the money you save pick up an extra set of polarized glasses they have.......tight lines
