    Stockli SS mounting?

About to mount a pair of 186 Stockli SS. This will be my everyday go-to ski. Don't jib.

Is the center of boot mark on the ski working for those that have them?

Anybody tried moving forward of the recommended mark?

    noice purchase,
i mounted mine where it said to, and if anything I would move back not forward.
the ski's ONLY downside is a stiff tip that loves to play mobbed up boxer and take a dive.

Was just thinking the same thing. Got a pair of the older 186 Stormrider DP's and the tip is stiff. They're already a lot of work in tight spaces and I think a forward mounting could make that even worse, especially in deep snow.
You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

On the mark is good for an everyday setup. Agree with Woodsy on the tip dive. You'll love em'. Just need to get a feel for how they react in powder.

For comparison I have asteroids mounted as recommended and the SS 1cm back. (186)
I like the back mount better with the exception of narrow jump turn situations.
    I’d say 1-1.5cm back.

Side note, the tips soften up a bit after 15 days or so.
So the world is filled with tubular entities. Food goes in one end and shit comes out the other. Sperm goes in and babies come out.

my 194's are mounted on the factory mark and i love the way they ski. i've never noticed the tip dive you speak of on mine but they do have more surface area. the tips will soften like meconium said.

on a side note i should find out on moday if they will warranty my pair. my bro's can't get here fast enough for me. i won't send these back until i have them.

tips have softened and I just tend to compensate at speed and over drive the ski sometimes as I learned on my old 10exs. plus my helistars let me cheat so when i go back and forth I have a relearning curve.

I have adjusted, but I think mounting em forward would do more harm than good
