That quote is pretty twisted and sensationalistic. 340,000 pounds is all they "can" smoke? What? No that's the amount that went through the legal system. It takes no account of the I assume still-substantial black market or for the possibility that they could have sold more legally if there was more supply. Now they have a million pounds to sell. Let's see if they "can" smoke it or not. My bet is yes.

    Totally correct.

Wife found a fat unsmoked joint sitting on a railing at this scenic overlook at a park near our house yesterday. Smoke it or not?

Is it worth the 10 bucks or so to maybe try PCP for your first time?

oh we threw that out, although the wife did resist. she figured the guy had two joints, took them out of his pocket and smoked one while looking at the very nice view, and just spaced the second one. Which is probably true. But why chance it when I have plenty of decent weed? Last night I wrote this whole thing about the two times i actually did do PCP and then decided it really wasn't gonna score me any points and deleted it. Hence the "edit".

Mormon Church Doubles Down On Opposition To Utah Medical Marijuana

    Posted on May 12, 2018

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Mormon church reiterated its opposition to Utah’s medical marijuana initiative on Friday, amid heightened tensions over whether the measure will reach the November ballot.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released a statement and a seven-page legal memorandum outlining the “grave concerns” about the initiative and the “serious adverse consequences” that could follow if it were approved.
The memorandum, compiled by Salt Lake City law firm Kirton McConkie, warns that the initiative would make it hard for police to distinguish between legal and illegal drug possession and could allow a large number of Utah residents — including children and people with drug convictions— to obtain medical cannabis cards.

It doesn’t include consequences for physicians who “rubber stamp” recommendations for the cards, the memorandum warned, nor would it prohibit dispensaries from giving away free samples of their product to cardholders.

Roughly two-thirds of Utah residents belong to the church, which urges members to abstain from drugs and alcohol.

The church had previously sided with opponents of the ballot initiative, but the Friday statement adds additional rationale for its position and comes at a crucial moment for those trying to prevent the question from reaching the ballot. The memorandum, compiled by Salt Lake City law firm Kirton McConkie, warns that the initiative would make it hard for police to distinguish between legal and illegal drug possession and could allow a large number of Utah residents — including children and people with drug convictions— to obtain medical cannabis cards.

Not really surprising Utah “leaders” are mostly against it. Shit, I get nervous when my car crosses that state line and I never have any weed on me.
Eventually, the Mormons will get behind the recreational side when some higher power tells them they can rake in the cash but should not use it. Wouldn’t doubt if that happens on my lifetime tho.

Beautiful state but fucking strange shit that goes down there.

I'm bothered very rarely by them. Kids haven't seen any pressure so far in school. They have Mormon friends.

I lived and worked around moes from outside utardland and they seem mostly normal. I live near skidog and our experience pretty much the same with local moes in sl county. BUT I worked in Utah county for ten years and the moes from their and the S Utarrr enclaves are the weird ones you need to worry about. Oh and the crew running that whole MLM scam shebang from that fancy office building in SLC. Them too...

Question. If a Moe opens a dispensary does the church have an issue getting their 10% if its from the devils lettuce?

Oh yeah once outside SLC county shit gets weird for sure. Still not much more weird than any other organized religion imho. MLM is weird. I can't figure it out, but man it works for some. I have a few fb friends that do it, their posts get annoying.
