I like the land races, either because of their genetic simplicity (and smooth ride) or unjustified sentimentalism - not sure yet. But a 1/4 of Columbian Gold has been one of my favorite smokes in the new CO/WA age.. Smooth and relaxing, purple haze or really and true haze. Strains like GScookies and Bruce Banner feel a bit like crack and can be confusing in comparison. I like the stability of a dominant sativa or a kush with a predictable effect.

If I had my druthers it would be landrace sativas during the day with a nice kush knock out in the evening. But that's not geographically possible right now, and I just try to keep a few options, regardless of strain or composition.

Last winter in Amsterdam I got a little carried away sampling..

Recently bought a DaVinci vape, which has a temp control (ie, you set the exact temp you want). What is the ideal temp to set it at, or the range, or what you prefer?

Seems like they should have set it for you. Just ask the dude down at the bike shop changing your flat tire.

Iirc ~360 gets you a real clean buzz, ~410 gives you thick smoke, and I usually ran around 395. It's an art form as different cannabinoids get released along the temp spectrum. You want the most cannabinoids but taste tends to drop off fast if you get greedy. And the effect is more dopey at higher temps.

393 is my number - hit few times at full heat and turn off then hit it few times on cool down - can usually get through couple days of casual use. Ascent?

Yeah, I usually start off around 360-65 or when it starts to smell ready and then typically tweak it up throughout the session.

^thanks, but I've geeked out and primarily read on digital now. No light to disturb the wifey when it's late or cheaters needed to see. It does suck not being able to share though. Passing books on is always a feel good vibe.

I've got some buds that have a sandalwood/hazelnut smell to it in the jar, real soft cottony buds even after curing for about a month. Sound familiar to any of you efficienados? Trying to tie a name to it.
