Then you water it with a properly ph balanced mix of exactly the nutrient mix that you want to feed for that specific stage of it's growth.

Just be ware that any nutrients for most plants will be way wrong for weed plants. Usually use 1/4 of the same amount suggested, if you're not using weed specific nutes.

Guys, bought a few clones Dec 1st. Bought a 600 watt grow light system and all sorts of growing aids Dec 3. Girls have been under lights 18 hours a day for two weeks and are at least 2 feet tall and bushy, but I haven't noticed any flowering yet. How much longer under the grow lights??? Or is it just keep looking for signs of flowering before switching to the flowering light?

I'm sure there are other people armed to answer this better but I'll take a shot as broad as my info may be.

Flowering starts when you switch the lights to a 12/12 schedule to simulate shorter days (and even then you won't notice "flowers" for 10-14 days). It will just keep vegging (growing tall) as long as you keep it on 18/6 unless you have an auto-flower which is possible but not likely if you started them from clones.

Since your babies will almost double in size when you switch them to flower, you might want to consider switching them over now as you should get nice four foot plants (give or take) when it's time to harvest.

What strains do you have going? I'm about to put some Master Kush, Blueberry, Flo, and NYCD into flowering and throw some OG, Sour D, Plushberry, and Pink Kush under the veg lights.

Be careful, it's a ridiculously addicting hobby when you start getting into it.

Thanks Mo Fo. No idea of the strain, as my wife purchased them with her Medical MJ Card. I read what you stated elsewhere, so we go to the flower cycle tomorrow

One important thing to mention, is that the 12 hours of dark, must be uninterrupted and completely dark.

The best thing to do, is sit in your flower room and let your eyes adjust to the dark. Then see if you can notice any light leaks.

Light leaks can lead to hermaphrodites, which can lead to a seeded plant.

I've started using tents. So far I am liking them.

I want to have four tents on rotation, as opposed to having one big harvest every 70 days.

First tent almost filled out. Running 6k per tent.

Plants are a bit droopy after transplanting to 7 gal bags.

Damn Bobby, that is some "Personal Consumption" habit you have brother. My 2 girls are looking really good. Seems like they grow an inch or two a day.

Edit: Damn it. My electric bill went up $85 a month for one 600 watt system. Bobby must have a killer bill.

That doesn't seem right. Something else must have started to get more use at the same time.

Bite the bullet. Replace all your normal bulbs with leds and your bill will get back in line with normal.

This is pretty much the same way I've been doing it for the past few years, the trick is that you want to use a very high leftovers to butter ratio.

    1. Melt some butter over low heat in a small diameter pot. I would start with one or two whole sticks for a 1/2 oz.

    2. Dump all of your scraps into the melted butter.

    3. If the level of the melted butter is higher than your scraps, then don't add anymore butter.

    4. Stir well, trying to get all the scraps covered with butter. If there is way more scraps then butter, then add more butter by the tablespoon until you can smash all the vapoo just below the butter level. The consistency should be like a weed/butter porridge.

    5. Cook on low for at least one hour, stirring occasionally and make sure you're not burning it.

    6. Let the mixture cool for 10-20 minutes.

    7. Strain thru a double layer of cheesecloth into a dish you can freeze or refrigerate, trying to squeeze as much butter from the vapoo as possible.

The more Weed and the less butter you use, the more potent the butter will be and the less you have to eat.

Buttaflake asked that a few months ago and this was my answer. It's the easiest way IMHO.

I might do it wrong, but I wait to fill two 18 ounce tupperwares with spent then put all of the spent with eight sticks of butter in my Crock on low for 8-10 hours. After it's done I take cheese cloth and drain the butter into a bowl, squeezing the fuck out of it to get all the last butter I can.

I give it to a friend who says it does the trick because my wife refuses to cook with it now that we're trying to bring a little MotherFucker along. Before then, I'd just use it for baked goods. It was fairly strong on CBD and didn't cause a change in taste of whatever I used it for.

^^^^thanks - I should be able to handle those methods. So if you made yourself some using like oz of duff and few sticks of butter, would you cook that into one batch of baked goods or split it among a few?

It depends on what you're making. I try to bake things that use a lot of butter in the recipe so I know they will be potent.

I usually make some cookies using an America's Test Kitchen recipe that uses 14 tablespoons of butter (almost 2 entire sticks). Gave my last batch to a friend who has spinal problems and she says they work wonders for her. She recently shared some with her dad who claimed they made him hallucinate, but one or two cookies usually does the trick for those of us with higher tolerances.

Recipe for Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies:

    - Melt 14 tablespoons of your butter on low heat until melted. Do not melt butter in microwave.

    - Pour melted butter into large bowl. Add 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar, along with 1 teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract to the melted butter. Whisk until fully incorporated.

    - Add one large egg, and one large egg yolk to that mixture and whisk until smooth, about 30 seconds.

    - Wait three minutes then whisk for another 30 seconds, repeating this step two more times.

    - Mix together in a separate bowl, 1.75 cups of flour and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

    - Add flour mixture to wet ingredients and stir until incorporated.

    - Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips.

    - Spoon cookie dough onto parchment lined baking sheets, bake at 375 degrees for about 10-12 minutes, rotating baking sheet halfway thru baking time. Cookies should be brown around the edges, but still soft and puffy in the center.

    Cool. Eat.

someone i know uses enough everclear in a half gallon jar to cover scraps by an inch or so, then let it sit a day or two shaking vigorously from time to time. pour through cheesecloth, dump pile of wet screaps in cheesecloth and squeeze it out. dump liquid into large saute pan, heat on very low until it reduces down to a thick substance --keep a small fan on low blowing across the top of the pan to keep the fumes from collecting and igniting if you use a gas stove.

once the alcohol is evaporated, add your butter and mix.

it has produced exceptionally potent edibles except for the one time she forgot about it and cooked it down a little too long (forgot about it -- how'd THAT happen?) and the temp got too high and vaporized the good stuff.

best recipes in her opinion use multiple flavors to cover any nastiness -- kickass brownies with coconut, walnuts, 2x chocolate, etc. peanut butter didn't work as well.

trust me, you'll have all of that taste left you want. plus, the flavor of leftover vaporized isn't quite as luscious.

Good couple hour session with Pax -

Holds a charge well....cycled it on and off a dozen or so times. Heat seems consistent

Does not hold much - about the same as mflb. So you can't really use for more than two peeps w/o a couple reloads

You can not burn the payload as with a mflb. I think this unit is doing a better job of heating the air (like a volcano) and not heating tray that is holding herb.

Will demo in the bc this weekend.

how is the heat on the lips and airstream? Any plastic or metal taste?

If the MFLB was all inclosed, without the ghetto battery and wonky crack-pipe looking stem, I think it would be the hands down winner. So few parts, simplicity and massive durability.

The battery upgrade to a higher number (amps, volts?) really works in the extreme cold FYI. (low humidity and high altitude too).

That was one thing worth mentioning....it does get kind of warm if you hit it real hard. Either heating up the luminum or heat of the air. Maybe 0 degree temps will cool that down.

Did a little trimming of some fan leaves last night so the bottom branches get a little more light before turning them over to flower in two weeks. I'm pretty pleased with where I'm at so far in week four of vegging (from rooted clones).

Sidebar discussion: Wife bought me an aquarium for Christmas and, while I'm waiting on it to cycle, was wondering if it would be beneficial to water my babies with the couple gallons of water from it that I need to change out every couple weeks. It's filled with nitrates and other beneficial things from the fish waste. With some live plants in the tank along with some Danios to help cycle it along, will it kill my plants to water it with the aquarium water or help feed them along after it actually cycles?

Just cut those bottom branches off. Garbage nuggs and it takes Juice away from the rest the plant. Fan leafs are like your solar panels you shouldn't be cutting those.

    Aquarium water?
Don't risk it. You really want complete control over what your plants get.
