Fast acting usually means nano-encapsulation of THC.
This is done by mixing non-water sol. THC along with components that are naturally found in the lipid bilayer of most living cells, molecules like DOPC (medium to long chain fatty acids C=14-18 typically), cholestrol, and a surfactant (detergent) that increases miscibility with water, Tween-80 etc. These are typically mixed together under high pressure to make micelles that become smaller and smaller lipid droplets by cycling the process several times.
Nanoencapsulation creates small enough particles ~40-80nm that pass though the the intestinal wall and into the blood stream without needing to be broken down by digestion first, so faster acting affect and a larger percentage delivered to the blood as opposed to being excreted.
