Somebody in Winnipeg flunked an intelligence test

Just one hour after Canada's legalization of recreational cannabis, police in Winnipeg issued the nation's first known citation for toking and driving, the police department confirmed Wednesday.

At around 1 a.m. on Oct. 17, a police officer pulled over a vehicle and determined the occupants to have been consuming the newly legalized substance while driving on a major roadway. Similar to alcohol, recently legalized cannabis is not permitted to be consumed while driving.

Sorry about the sideways photos - I've tried several different things to re-orient them but it ain't happening.

So this is my first time with live resin and I'm trying something that isn't CBD though you can see it has a small amount. Very tasty!

I had the TV on in the background the other night and some sitcom that I'd never seen came on - I think it was "the neighborhood"? Anyhoo... two guys are talking about how everything around them in their neighborhood has changed and one guy mentions how the hair salon is now a pot shop and the other guys says "Lucille always sold pot out of the back only thing different now is it's legal."

Made me smile.

Everytime I use my KandyPen vape I figure one more thing out. Why a "tips & tricks" info sheet doesn't come with this expensive but nice vape I don't know but it would be nice.

As posted above I picked up some Chocolope live resin. My first foray into this type of concentrate. My pen came with both an All-Quartz Crystal Chamber w/Dual Quartz Rods and All-Quartz Coil-less Crystal Chamber (No Combustion). I called KandyPens to ask their opinion on which one to use they suggested the coil-less chamber for a mellower vape and I'm all about mellow so coil-less it was.

First try was awkward and not very productive but then I remembered all those videos I've seen of people using a nail that was heated before adding the resin so I left the mouth piece off, held the power button down for a couple of seconds to heat the chamber then added my dab. This helped with getting the resin off the skillet and allowed it to flow out across the heating surface. This IMO seems to be the ideal way to load the chamber.

Once loaded I screwed the mouth piece back on. On this pen both the chamber and the mouth piece have carb holes. After my initial blasé vape session I decided perhaps using one or both of the carbs would help fine tune my experience. Blocking the mouth piece carb while leaving the chamber carb open was the answer. I also figured out that even though the whole chamber (sides and bottom) heats up it's best to keep the pen pointed at a downward angle to keep the resin on the bottom of the chamber (i.e. don't set it down on its side or hold it like a cigarette).

Honestly trying to figure this all out while you're getting a buzz on and/or pain/stress relief is a bit taxing. I am enjoying the Chocolope, the live resin has much better flavor (terpenes) than the cartridges but the cartridges are much more user friendly. YMMV.

Again, and at the risk of waking the Buttahkrakken, when you have distilled it down to that extent, do it make any difference at all what sytin you used to get there? It's down to a chemical at that point.

Covfefe. What is a sytin?

Some say a C02 extraction with an alcohol finish is cleaner, others say the other way around. That's why I use everclear, since it's an ingestible solvent. Can't wait for this years erl. It's comin soon.

Well, it's an extract and not an isolated "pure" chemical in that sense like say a synthetic, But the big thing about route of administration is it has a lot to do with how quickly (inhalation) or slowly (digestion) the uptake is which influences the duration, the intensity of the rush when it hits, and the clearance of active compound. etc.
