So the guys I'm working for grow some pretty good weed. All tested for thc % and pesticides and genetics. This OG Kush runs in the 23-26% range with ZERO pesticides. It ain't $100 a zipper.



Right now any fucking monkey can get $1k/# for dodgy outdoor trimmed in a machine, and yet we still get a lot more for this. Maybe some people don't give a shit what they're smoking, but our customers sure do.

The testing is key for us. Our strain is actually what it's sold as - old OG Kush passed down over the years.

buttahflake - do you drink PBR or Heady Topper? Coors or Haze? There will always be room for shit beer in the market, but why would you drink it? Why smoke shit weed?

I'm hardly the discerning stoner, but the difference is mostly 2 vs.4 rips.

At my local legal shop the cheapies spec in @14-17%, but the 20%+ selection will run mostly 11-13/g. High test @28% will run 15/G. Seeing how it was 10/g for whatever was available 30+ yrs ago I'm kinda ok with those price points.

Here in Oregon anyone can grow legally and prices have plummeted because of basic supply and demand.

I'd have to assume the same principle will come into play in any state that allows cultivation.

It all goes back to the post about how N. Cali growers are against legalization simply because the extremely high markup will go poof.

If the price is the same now in stores as it used to be farm direct somethings got to give. Either the stores are not making anything or the farmers are getting less. Typical retail markup is 40-60% on top of costs not to mention the tax.
