Yup, that dry herb attachment is the suck - but all the other concentrate coils are money.

I don't vape flower on the go, that's what concentrates or carts are for. At home I use the Plenty by Storz and Bickel. I've had it for about 6 months and couldn't be happier with it. I still occasionally smoke for shits and giggles, but this is my primary device. Smooth, hard hitting and durable as hell.

I'm going to be in Broomfield, CO next week, specifically in the Interlocken area...Any recommendations on recreational shops in the area? I'd be willing to drive a bit, but don't want to drive across Denver. Just looking for flowers, not any of the weird extractions...who has best selection and prices?

If you just want good flower and a large selection, The Green Solution on Grape will be the most convenient.

Or take 70W up to Sheridan, then south to 44th. That's where Oasis Cannabis Superstore is. They carry multiple OPCs, 100+ kinds. Then north about 12 miles to Broomfield.

Nice - That is like having a Lambo out in the driveway to run around in.

On the opposite end of the spectrum - this new flower vape from Atmos seems to be solid. Micro usb, locking top and quick heat up are nice features. Single heat setting takes a little getting used to, but if you pack it just right it is not really an issue. Prob will try one out soon.

For concentrates it is still hard to beat the price and features of the evolve plus, but this is another fairly cheap option. Have this one currently and will report back after I jam some wax into it.

recreational legalization in oregon fucked the med program and continues to be mind-bogglingly hypocritical and idiotic.

From today's WA Post. Cali growers worried that legalization will destroy their way of life

Ditto. Most of the "hippy growers" are just scumbag rednecks. My sister lives in Redding now and her husband is a wildland firefighter with USFS. He says people steal staggering amounts of their equipment when they are on fires in grow country. Water pumps are a particularly favored item. If they don't guard a pump 24/7 it's pretty much guaranteed to disappear. Organized crime is more involved than it used to be too.

The horror. Even with the extra red tape from legalization, if someone can't make money growing and selling weed I don't have much sympathy for them. The real kicker has always been distribution, and legalization will make that aspect much easier and safer. Really, they should be jumping for joy that the CA proposition isn't crafted like CO's law and actually allows outdoor cultivation (apparently, I haven't read it).

Dude, if these people had the mental acuity to run a legitimate, profitable, sustainable business, they wouldn't be holed up in the California forests for decades growing pot. They are the Trump supporters of the Cannabis industry: they used to wield lots of power and influence, but with legalization and the new wave of business-minded individuals getting into the game, they are suddenly finding that their clout and worth have been marginalized.

If these old burnouts really want to maintain a toehold in the legal market, they need to focus on disseminating their knowledge of growing, breeding, etc. that has been refined over decades. There must be some fantastic genetics that these people are holding on to as well. That knowledge is more valuable than their crops with widespread legalization.

I never said they were the sharpest tools in the shed. The fact remains, weed is a highly profitable crop and if having to pay taxes and comply with laws like normal businesses with much lower margins will sink you I have a hard time mustering much sympathy. Especially since they will no longer have to distribute through black market channels.

^^^good point. The old school journeyman growers would be better served morphing into "high" paid consultants. But that is prob not their aspiration. I agree with bf on the ass raping of the land.
Vicelands weediquete series had a real good episode about Humboldt growers both old and new. It is on YouTube for free if that link doesn't work.

Weed is profitable until it's legal. At that point it's only profitable for the smugglers and retail outlets. Look on any Oregon CL and note all the grow ops being sold. It's bottomed out. Weed is $40 oz here on the black market

^^Yup, retailers have the power, not the growers

The real problem for the OG Triangle growers is their operations were by necessity built for stealth, not size and distance to market. Beginning in the 90s they got premium returns because the risk for them getting busted was less than the risk of getting busted in, say New York. Now it's legal, they're a gazillion miles from SoCal markets, and customers prefer indoor grown bud

I think their best bet is to form a tri-county coop that sells Emerald Triangle Cannabis. With seed-sale tracking, should be able to enforce trademarks. Not so sure they can grow cannabis any better than, say our own Mr Stainless indoors in CO, but people will buy Marley brand product...

Edit to add- the other option is to continue relationships with distributors in places where it's gonna be illegal for some time. As steep concrete points out ^^^. Issue there is figuring out how to deal with state inspectors and avoid tracking that part of the crop

Weediquete is great - might be the most in depth investigate look into all things cannabis. 10 episodes in first season.

How Ironical is this in the legalization fight in MA -

The Catholic church in Boston stating that MJ will cause "grave damage" to humans is believable only in the context of them knowing exactly how to do just that. Glad that it is still polling in the mid 50's to pass on Nov 8th. MAssholes unite!!
