Who wants to make the trip to CB?

Crested Butte got 7' over a 5 day period! The Headwall and North Face areas have been closed since Monday due to avalanches and control work. They are trying to open them for tomorrow. Who wants to go? I'm going to try and get clearance from boss to skip out on work tomorrow.

I love the Butte when they get snow but holiday weekends me no travel.

North Face/Headwall area still closed today. Word from patrol is that it should open up this weekend sometime, but ultimately depends on how quickly the snowpack stabilizes. Given the colder temps and higher winds around here I'm not sure how soon that actually is. I heard that everytime they bomb something it rips all the way to the ground. Spooky snowpack.

Just got back from the Butte... The snow was good but NOTHING was open. When the stuff opens it should be great but they are not sure when that will be. I'm sure since I just left it all opened up.

I'm booked until early next week. Never been there before...will it still be good by Wednesday? I might be up for a quick shot Wed/Thur. I'll be curious if their control work strips all the snow...

Anybody up for mid-next week possibly?
