How far in advance do you need to book as of late, for weekdays?
Its best to book in advance, but we can usually fit a few people in without a problem....especially during the week......

tut-tut for not counting little Mt. Baker.
No need to get defensive, but if you consider a 62" base good coverage for mid-January......you're all over it, enjoy!

    Useless without pics.

If you're going to spam us, at least have the decency to throw out some stoke.

Don't see much info about your guides on the website can you provide more details? I'm tempted!

62" at Heather Meadows is thin coverage for January indeed but that doesn't mean we don't have "decent" snow; in fact there have been some very nice days lately.

And in fact, I have been "all over it" - touring out Table Mountain last week in nice light thigh high snow and plenty good coverage makes for a decent day anywhere...but whatever. Obviously you can tell what the conditions are like at Baker from where you are.

There are four of us who guide on the mountain.....the lead guide has over 24 years of experience on Bailey......the rest of us have between 8-12 years on the mountain each, plus all have a long history of working in the ski industry/avalanche education/patrolling, etc. We have a permit that allows the use of hand charges so we can safely test/control our terrain under almost any conditions. In 24 years we've never buried a customer and we ski avy terrain every day. We all have at least wilderness first responder medical training and everything that we need to stabilize and get someone out if they have to go.

I'm sure that you have been.....that's why I said to enjoy it. Not looking for a pissing match.....just letting people know that there actually is some good snow here in the PNW, that was the basis of this thread.....

the touring down here is killer, but a bit of a commitment. The cat is an option, but not the only option. Crater and Mt. Thielsen have some great north aspect shots that should be in great shape right now.....

Well - Crystal is not all bad at the moment... way too many people on far too few runs - and all the "good stuff" is still closed...

Powder Bowl is not bad - icy in spots and getting skied out...

Time to cruise a little - and dream of snow... wait this isn't November....!!!

Off to Tampa for Work and Sunshine - and when I come back... there better be some F.............king snow!!!!
