Nose looks alright to me in the video when he's waxing up. Other dimensions would help us visualize the board, I'm guessing 5'8" x 19 x 2.4, it looks similar to my sharp eye blowfish. Single to double?

    Size – 5’8″
    Width – 20″
    Thickness – 2&3/4″

It's called "The Chunk" for a reason. Seeing as there was so much thickness, the other boards I had been looking at all had some strange way to compensate to make the tip nice and pointy. I just said...whatever, I just don't want a dorky looking beak or some stupid elf shoe looking rocker thing. I've surfed it the last 3 days in pretty small shore break and it's super easy to get into waves, it's quick down the line, and it's easy to move it without being too skatey.

wow, that is a chunk. I ride fat boy short boards, similar but with less volume than that, my go to is a 5'10" x 19.25 x 2.4". At 210lbs, it provides float to paddle but the performance like a standard shortboard. I'm guessing with that being a quad, you could bring it in head high++ waves and still have it perform without sliding out.

Also looks like there's a 5th center fin box. If you add a big wave tail like a rounded pin (what I have on my board) then probably make solid bottom turns on well overhead days. These size boards also perform exceptionally well in the barrel, since there is minimal board and it makes it easy to make small adjustments in the tube to avoid getting axed.

    new boards

are fun! nice lookin board, tate.

i couldn't be happier with my new:

    http://www.lostenterprises.com/surfb...ils/the-rocket

    5'9"x19.5x2.38 placebo (flexlite 2 epoxy)

the only board i own for all conditions i encounter from gutless knee to overhead. under chest high i run it as a quad for dtl speed and looseness. over that i run it thruster for better hold. at 6' 165lb the volume is just about perfect. even in full winter rubber.

man is it nice to never have to think about what board to ride when ya only need one. ah simplicity................

    enjoy that board!!!

    rog
