    Possibly moving to Reno

Wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so I thought I'd just throw it in here.

I'm currently looking at accepting a job that would move me from Portland to Reno. I've skied in Tahoe quite a few times, but never really paid much attention to the town, cost of living, etc. Anybody from that way have some input?

Also, if I do move, I'd like to get a place that is close to the mountains and close to work. Any recommendations on areas to look at?

truckee is a cool town if you gotta work in reno. not too far and a bigass interstate hwy to commute on. not really any mountains in truckee but they're not far away.

cost of living is relative-compared to sf bay reno is cheeeeeaaap,,,which means it may still be pricey,,,,now the skiing is arguably amongst the best in the world

But watch out that a man in black doesn't shoot you just to watch you die.

    It happens.

Don't bother, Tahoe hardly gets enough snow to open the resorts. Just barely.
