Longtime lurker, first post. I usually am checking out tech talk, an inveterate tinkerer with all types of outdoor gear.
But right now, I got the bug. Live in SW Idaho, trying to figure out my best bet for decent early-season conditions Thanksgiving week, within driving distance (8 hours or so) of Boise. Anyone care to share their best bets?
Just as a follow up, ended up at Park City for their opening weekend, Nov. 18 or so. Three lifts open, really only two since one only serves the terrain park. About four runs. Snow was better than expected, mostly man made, but some natural in there, too. Pre-thanksgiving runs are worth twice as many January runs, IMO, so it was definitely a good thing. Also, nice way to remind myself to spend more time in the gym before the real snow flies.
