Anybody ever had a break like this?

so I broke my leg at alta in february. I broke my tibia right below the top of the boot, and the break runs about three inches up and to the front of my shin. it healed in a way that means it's a little out of alignment with the rest of my shin, so there's a a gradual rise up to where it broke and then it goes back to normal. it's not huge, but it's big enough that when I put my boots on, all of the pressure I put into the front of my boot ends up right on that spot. not only does it feel awkward, it fucking HURTS.

I've been to the doctor, he said I'm good to go and that was about a month ago. what I'm asking is if anyone has had a problem like this, and if it's unreasonable to think I can get something done bootwise that will allow me to ski on opening day, which is like fucking tomorrow because utah.

also, I'll post a picture of the xray after my camera is charged.

Are you sure your leg wasn't broken for you at Alta because you were caught snowboarding at Alta?

It's unfortunate that A you broke your leg and that B there isn't a dedicated section on TGR for people to ask other people about injuries.

Glad to see the classic TGR SNR is still in effect. Anyway, are your boot liners mold-able? If so, possibly pad the sensitive area on your shin then mold the liners. Hopefully the padding will pack the liner a bit over your tibial bump and the irritation will go away.

My buddy had a similar issue a few years ago. He's a snowboarder now. Still hurts too much to put a ski boot on.

just broke tib and fib last season at the boot. thanks to some titanium reinforcement it's all lined up just fine, but there is a good sized bump where the bone healed. Can't say that it hurts that bad, but definitely uncomfortable. Let us know if you figure something out there.
