Magic Lantern firmware update for the T1i...anyone?, anyone? Bueller?

Anybody ever used it or know any one that has? My much more tech savvy brother told me about it because I was wanting more video functions on my T1. My concern obviously would be that if the changeover somehow screwed up my T1 I'd be fucked. Just curious to hear if anyone knows anything about it. TIA.

Right on, but I didn't see in there that it would allow me to shoot 60fps on my T1, or that it would give me aperture control in video mode either. More than likely, I'm just a luddite and missed that part; but what say you? The other thing I need badly to shoot decent video in the snow with that t1 is either an ND filter or a polarizer as it really doesn't like high contrast settings.

Can't speak for the T1i but I have ML installed on both of my T2i bodies.

The T2i version has a TON of settings. The main ones I use are turning off the audio gain; the additional ISO settings and the focus peaking and LCD focus zoom while shooting video. All of these things are awesome additions and make the camera an even bigger value.

The cons are a few oddball things: the screen flickers a fair amount; the ML interface is clunky and sometimes you wish you could just change things using the main Canon menus (but you often can't...unless you swap out to a card that doesn't have ML installed). One of my camera bodies is also prone to doing continuous still shooting even when I don't have it set (I push once and it just keeps snapping shots).

Nothing major ... just minor irritants. And you can always uninstall the ML just by clearing it off your card or putting in a new card.
