American Express has decided to pull that sweet Laird Hamilton ad because some may find it "insensitive" to those affected by the tsunami.
Weak.

As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.
what fucking moron thought that???? It was phUnk, wasn't it?
Quando paramucho mi amore de felice carathon.
Mundo paparazzi mi amore cicce verdi parasol.
Questo abrigado tantamucho que canite carousel.
rode up the lift with some people who saw the commercial being filmed. Being pulled out to sea and into the wave via chopper. What a lame reason to pull it.
There's a world out there full of color, dreams, and imagination. What are you waiting for?
Saw Laird on Jimmy Kimmel the other nite. Had some nice footage to show.
I recommend AMEX to stop being such fucking faggots
The news blurb that I saw this on was explaining that we should expect to not see waves or anything resembling in commercials for a while, similar to how shots of the WTC were taken out of movies, shows and ads after 9/11.
They say "market research" shows that they could be risking millions of dollars of business if they were to keep running the commercial.
Laird rocks so hard, and that ad (even though brief and glossy) was a cool glimpse into his lifestyle. It's a shame to stop running it.

But but.... Blue Crush was on teevee last night!![]()
Except that is a terrible analogy. They didn't remove all images of explosions, falling buildings and crashing planes from tv after 9/11. So lame.Originally Posted by scoober

i understand why they'd pull it, but i think they're pussies for doing so.
fine
That seems like a ridiculous stretch to me. And I'm quite sensitive to things like that. But it seems odd.
“Within this furnace of fear, my passion for life burns fiercely. I have consumed all evil. I have overcome my doubt. I am the fire.”
But they did do some stupid shit. The movie Donnie Darko was in theatres for a week and they pulled it because in the movie a jet engine that fell off an airliner landed on the Darko house. Absolutely nothing to do with terroism or even planes crashing. The movie has since gone on to become a huge hit in Europe and on DVD in america. It obviously wasn't pulled because people thought it was a bad movie.Originally Posted by Dromond

ROBOTS ARE EATING MY FACE.
We had a Pepsi ad featuring David Beckham and a bunch of other footballers surfing pulled following the tsunami.
It may have been because the ad blew cock rather than any overriding concern on Pepsi's part.
I just saw the Laird ad.
What tsunami???
