That's what I don't understand about openings. I guess maybe it took this long for the snow to set up to keep you off the bottom. Cool you got that. My first trip to Taos I caught a North America opening. I had no real plan. Caught the chair with a local as we were getting off he says North American is open, lets go. I have no idea what it looked like. I was going wide open to keep up with him. Last year I caught the opening of Wild West. Rode the chair with a patroller. Had no idea about that run. She had just opened it, said go long on the hike. Met a local on way out. He asked if I had ever been here before. Hell no, so I followed him out and got fresh tracks all the way. Went up to do it again and it was pretty well done. Kind of nice for locals to enjoy the hill without a crowd. Looks like only Kachina zone closed. With the ticket pricing only way I will go is planning 5 days out. Definitely not considering until totally open.

Still really no base. The shit that is skied in is skiable, the shit that isn't is slamming into rocks and stumps.

Wolf Creek is skiing well. Snow is supportable trees are in play. Yesterday was pretty good with the little bit of new snow. Backcountry is finally in, snow is supportable and deadfall is covered but can still be a problem if you dont know the area.

    I had the original 210 P9’s with MRR’s. I don’t think I’d want to ski Al’s on them now.

Ktao/Dalee is a great spot. Good local and non-local music, nice layout. We're doing the patrol Hoedown there in March--best party of the year

Other than some nonsense in the Springs, looks like smooth sailing to Taos. [emoji41][emoji16]

They can't hear you - they left around lunch time for Taos. They're probably currently waiting in line at Orlando's.

Ha. Yeah we'll see what happens. I'm on a 12 day streak, don't usually ski Sat. I'll be in the lot @730, see what's up w control. W some wind etc could be delayed easily.

Fortunately most everything now has a small base that's skied in. So less tip toe bs...

The og bodes are killers for chunder. Ppl were getting worked over in heavy chop and low vis all day. Bodies everywhere.

Hollar if on the hill we'll spin some laps. Another midweek storm and continued favorable pattern this hill will be ripping.
