Drilling New K2 Tele Skis (Crosspost Sorta)

I want to mount Freerides on a pair of Work Stinx, but I couldn;t find anyone who would tell me for sure if you could drill into these skis (they have the inserts). Also how far from the inserts should the new holes be? i.e. would you be able to mount a large freeride on a 188? Has anyone done this or seen it done yet?

[edit/] Sorry for posting in the wrong topic

Figure out where you want your boot to be on the ski. Make a mark with a sharpie. Squared it both ways (cause its got sidecut) so you've got a big line across you skis. Photocopy the Phreeryde jig cause you'll need copies eventually. Now you've got to line on the back of your copy paper jig. Right on the bottom of the jig, measure to the middle of the ski and make another mark. Tape on your jig. Put your boot on the ski and look at it. Does it look f-ed up?

If where it looks like you're gonna have to drill is within a 1/2" on the inserts you'll have to move your whole/hole mounting pattern.

If it looks good - Drill 'em (make a mark on your drill bit with tape so you don't divot your base). Make sure you tap the holes cause you prolly drilled throught some kinda mounting plate. Drop of wood glue. Insert screws and half tighten.

How take it to tack talk
