Jah fer sure. We're on track for another year like last year. Alta had a little more snow last year at this time (320 inches last year on the 6th, vs. barely breaking 300 this year on the 6th). LCC surpassed 600 inches last season on April 21st. I don't think there will be a prob doing it again.

    Question

Why would you want this tracked stuff when there is SO much untracked elsewhere? I guess I like mountains like Basin and the Dude a ton better.

never mention the basin on this site again-it is not worthy. That place sucks.

Just back from Alta; sure, that picture doesnt lie, the backside was tracked out, but man, if you looked in the right place, it was a very, very fun day...

West Rus near closing time was amazing, those winds filled in every last bump and made for a great ride.

Plus, we ran into like 10 people from the board...

This is pretty what most of the 'tude has looked like the afternoon of every pow day this season...with a few exceptions. I was never here before this season, so I have no idea how it used to be, but my objective opinion of this season so far is that if it's deep at Solitude, it gets skied off in a day or two like everywhere else. So far this season I haven't really seen this place live up to it's "days after a storm" reputation. It seems like whatever secret used to exist has been pretty much spread around so that any time it's good, people just flood up here from SLC.

That's what I see anyway. All the talk about how long the powder lasts here is starting to remind me of all the talk about "great moguls" in Taos. Some bullshit just gets it's own momentum.
