If TGR and MSP would bring their movies to my little tiny town so I could enjoy watching them with a big crowd.

Once again, the LA showings seem unlikely to occur. There's supposedly a TGR "Super Show" in LA, but the date and location are both TBD. Likewise for MSP (except for the super part). Is it too much to ask for?

MSP is showing Focused in Haugesund, Norway, which is a little tiny town. TGR has showings in places like TAmpa Florida. Yet for some reason Los Angeles doesn't get any tour stops. Is it because there's nowhere nearby to ski? Nope we've got skiing within 2 hours, and good skiing within 5. Is it because no one skis? I don't think so, the ski shops seem to sell almost as many skis as snowboards. Is it because we're a little tiny market? Ummmm, no. So what's the problem guys?

The only showings I've ever been to are the Warren Miller movies. Please, give me something else to watch.

Heh - we went to see a ski movie (don't remember what movie) in Tampa a couple years ago. I think that including the group I was with - there were 6 people in the theater. Nice that they show them there but you'd think you'd make more money in LA.

Yep. I considered hosting a showing last year, but it's a lot of work and a fairly big financial risk too.

What's really weird is Florida has the largest Ski Council in the Nation, FLORIDA!!

I'm sure WM sells out down there, walkers coming down the aisles and all.

It's the same reason that Colorado has the largest scuba diving clubs....it's cheaper to go in a big group. When I used to live in L.A., I was a ski club member. It was the only way I could get up to Mammoth as often as I did.

Anti - do you really think you could fill a theater in L.A., Home of the Gapers, could fill up one showing at a theater? I doubt it. MAYBE, and that's a BIG maybe, you could fill up a theater if you were showing a snowboard movie.
