Drove over the pass yesterday, saw some turns, but still a rock garden. Someone had posted earlier, need at least 2 1/2 to 3 feet on the pass to make it decent and eliminate the worries of hitting bottom.

I drove over the pass on Friday. Pretty much a rock garden. Today is going to be windy as hell, so there might be some pockets, but most likely it wont help. They are calling for continuing accumulation through the week at elevation. Maybe around 2"+ a day. Hopefully we will get our dump soon.

yeah you are bettter off doing some turns at A-basin. I've already gone twice, just to get the legs ready. Thier webpage says more to open soon.

Report from from last 5-Nov was possibly skiable quantities with many hidden obstacles and NO SNOW-GROUND COHESION. Be carefull out there.

went for a bit of a hike during the eclipse, man what a view, but besides that, I wouldn't go back there with boards, shitty or not. I didn't see one set of tracks of the 10 or 15 I crossed that didn't have huge rocks/stumps/breaky leggy thingys(yeah I know, real tech words) in them. That being said, once in a while it looks like the snowboarders(didn't see any ski tracks) did get maybe 2 turns a run with like shin deep not quite fluff. Not worth it to me, but it was a nice hike.
