I just got a pm from mulletizer. His words on the flight situation below:

"I guess I can stay for roughly a week or ten days. I was expecting (if the whole thing comes off) just to fit in with the schedule of the cheapest flights. I think the cheapest flights will be from London; I can get myself there from France pretty cheaply if needed. Otherwise Lyon is closest and easiest and Geneva is a possibility too."

So we need to research airfare and see when and where is the cheapest from his options.

Guys, as it stands we can barely, and maybe not even barely pay for both of thier airfare. We certainly do not have enough to pay for lift tickets.

So we need to step up. I need to raise more money, I need some floor space, and I need volunteers to drive them up from SLC.

Maggots, we have come together in the past, we have a helluva start, and I think we should book tickets asap for both of these very deserving individuals, but then we need to follow up NOW to make this truly a great experience for them and for our community.

The cheapest option I have found on Expedia is London to SLC for $600. From Geneva or Lyon it was costing over $800.
Monty Python's version of the cougar phenomenon:
"This is a frightened city. Over these houses, over these streets hangs a pall of fear. Fear of a new kind of violence which is terrorizing the city. Yes, gangs of old ladies attacking defenseless, fit young men".

I think we need to find out if he can get to amsterdam easily. Because like i said earlier i found a roundtrip flight from amsterdam to SLC for $487. London flights were running in the $600's.

What about Zbo? Sounds like he could use a little money and not just for vacation.

Guys here is the situation. We have enough for airfare for both - barely.

So all of you who sent me money vote by Monday morning for:

1- Buy them both plane tickets and get them both here and hope for the future generous efforts

2- Buy EPskis a plane ticket plus all expenses paid

3- Buy Mulletizer a Plane ticket and a majority of expenses paid

--I know who sent me money, if you vote but didn't send cash, you will be bannished to hell and you vote won't count.

all votes to my pm box.

If we want to send the money to zbo that is a maggot call. Not mine to make. This charity was set up with the intent to allow a maggot to come to the summit.

I'm just the administrator of the fund, but as such feel like it is the voice of those who contributed to determine how those funds should be spent.

All of you have my pm, let me know what to do.

Werd, Froze...not trying to bust your balls.

I, as merely a small contributor, vote for all summit proceeds to go to ZBO.

So the whole family cant go. But....
I have a plane ticket to use sometime, and a place/floor at old Homeyz house's. I just need lift tickets and food/beer money. I could film for the duration. Am I too late for the Maggot fund?

    Wow.
I just saw this thread and I can say is that its pretty freaking cool when folks you’ve never met before in person are willing to help you out like this, (funding and doing the logistics for a trip).

It’s a good example of how strong your community is. Very cool!

Something seems very unmaggot-like about self-nomination.

Come on yall, I've had three votes on what to do with the money. And three different answers. I do not want to be put in the position of having to decide what to do with the fund.

    Folks, step up and vote

Vote for just the plane tickets for both. Then during the party at the Moose pass the hat around for the kids that lost their parents from the tidal wave. Just my .02

No offense, but isn't Mulletizer skiing LaGrave every day this season???

You should have each candidates profile or info or statement of unworthiness posted.
then folks might get to know and pity them.

I would pony up some dough if these guys seemed truly ski bum deadbeat worthy.
I think the free gear threads have found more deserving folks.

Just my 2cents, but you can turn that in to 20 bucks if you got a good story for these guys.

P.S. fly them both out, and they can ski the pass in the AM and get free lift tickets when the tourons leave the village early cause the pow makes there legs hurt.

Give 'em both the flight tix, then they can make their way once they get here. I imagine mags will step up re: rides, floorspace etc., once the details of their itineraries materialize. Worst comes to worst, they can look for shelter and treats as male consorts for Cougars á la Bryce Kellogg.

official vote is in, and the votes were sorely lacking. with only 8 votes total we have a decision reached of sending EPSKIS plane money to get him here, then give the rest to the zbo fund.

this decision becomes final in 24 hours, you have until then to vote (only counting votes of those who actually sent funds)

I think this is cool. ScottG is totally on the money - things do not suck for me. Skiing every day rules and I am incredibly lucky to be able to do so. EP had a really tough time last winter and, from what I understand, doesn't see nearly as much snow as me.

I appreciate massively the suggestion of bringing me to the Summit and am incredibly touched by the people who donated their hard-earned bread with me in mind. I hope none of you who did think me ungrateful for saying that I think it would be cool to send EPSkis to Jackson - it is just that he has had a shitty time recently and I have not, he is worthy and I am already kind of spoilt. Anyway, you guys rule. I intend to ski with all of you and buy you each a beer (or even two if I am feeling generous...) when I do. And I do feel a little unworthy of your generosity now that I am writing this

I would actually love to meet all the Maggots, especially Buster who must be incredibly cool for coming up with this idea. It might not happen this winter but, now that the idea has been planted I think that I will be able to get myself to a future Summit with a little pre-planning.

One last thing: MAGGOTS RULE!!! Thank you, those who thought of me.
