    Question Utards: Anyone been to Snowbasin recently????

    I'm going to Snowbasin next week. I could not find on their website what was open and closed. What good stuff has been open consistenly? Any info would be greatly appreciatted.

    pretty much everything is open. if it snows a lot, some of the gates will close, but they are pretty good about opening stuff up quickly. Every gate was open on Monday, so nothing is yet to open for the season or anything.

    The only lift that hadn't opened by yesterday was wildcat (no loss, since you can get to all the same terrain from other lifts... not that you'd want to), but they were packing snow into the loading area with a snowcat, so it should be open soon.

    Conditions are good. Coverage is excellent to acceptable, depending on wind deposition and elevation. About the only thing that could really use more base is the last bit of outrun from noname/etc. It's not bad, but there are still tons of little shrubs and such at the bottom.

    Have Backpack post the huck pics from Monday (if he hasn't already).

    It was very soft in several areas.
    I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.

    Skied 4 days so far, using one ski pole. It's good to be out, but I'm skiing too timid for fear of breaking it again, while it is still in the brace.

    I've got to use the brace for another 1-2 weeks, then they'll pull out the pins.

    I hope to improve faster after that.
    I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.

    Glad to hear you are doing better and back on the slopes. You'll be shooting sweet pics again in no time.

    He shot some sweet video at basin on monday, gimp wrist and all.
