    Bad news for phone/pda geeks

I have been anxiously awaiting the launch of the Motorola Mpx. The initial reviews I read made it sound like everything I want. A phone, pda, mp3 player, windows based, WiFi, etc. They have delayed the launch so long, I was beginning to think it would never come out. Well, it is worse than that. It is coming out, and it looks like it sucks. Check out this review

I am now looking at the Seimons PDA2K- anyone have this thing? Is it all that?

I dream of the day that I can carry one do it all device, and leave the lap top at home.

    12 pages of comments!!

I don't have a laptop or a pda or an mp3 player. So my cell phone is all I need.

Yeah Warthog. Stay away from that thing. Quite a lot of negative reviews on www.howardforums.com as well. Which is full of cell phone geek 'gotta haves'. So if they're jacking it, it must suck.

Haven't heard much about the Siemens phone. I'd check howard out and see what the fanatics think.

It still amazes me that people get excited about a new cell phone.

It amazed me that someone was willing to give me £500 ($850) for a Nokia 6630 just so they could say they were the among the first to have one.

I was glad to take his money but, as you say, I was thinking "It's a cellphone f'focksake..."

Those guys on that other site are a bit over the top. I will admit I was a bit excited to see this thing in action, though.

Only having to carry one device with all my info on it(excel, word, outlook, etc.)does excite me a bit. It must be my inner geek trying to get out.

Being the first to have anything never really excites me. Especially after they usually release an updated version right after I buy it. Keeping up with the geek Joneses can be very expensive these days. I would rather let others find out the problems with new stuff.

I use "paper" and a "pen". Sometimes a pencil.

What kind of pencil do you use? I can never get a clear signal with my #2
