    (NSR) Cable modem help needed

    so heres the deal i have a cable modem now but am sharing it between the family, I'm using mac OS X and am now using AOL dial up, I want to be able to easily switch between cable and dial up (mostly because my dad's a HUGE gaper) how do I configure for ethernet? Help!

    Routers work great for adding cool edge designs on wood. I built a table in junior with a cool routered edge.

    I am confused. You have cable internet but want to use dial up?

    Or do you want to sometimes use dial up on your computer, or sometimes use and share cable?

    Talk to gonzo, he had a router he wanted to sell. Mighta sent it to Thelonius, though, I had trouble keeping up.

    You should be able to get proper instructions from your ISP, but essentially you should be able to most of what you want using the Network Setup Assistant, if that's your bag.

    You can find it from System Preferences: Go into 'Network', double click 'Built in Ethernet' then click 'Assist me...'. Then, Internet Connect in the Application Folder can be used to switch between the two...
