    2011/2012 Freeskiing World Tour

Kicks off this week with the Redbull Powder Disorder in Las Lenas, Argentina.

This year, local event producers are working with key athletes to build three different jumps on the face. In meetings today with heavy hitters from MSI, Big Powder, Red Bull, and Las Leñas, the consensus was made that the first jump would be made mandatory and the second two would be optional.
    Should be interesting...

No live feed today so we're going to have to wait for the recap videos to see how things go with the new format. Good luck to Alto, Gone Skiing, and any other mags who may be down there, not to mention my EC girl Ashley Maxfield who's coming into her second season on tour after pulling in third place overall last year!

I skied like shit today but got gifted with a last place spot in the finals. Drew killed it but got docked for a couple things I guess... definitely one of the most fun runs to watch. Tomorrow should be sick on Martin!

Hey JPH, hope you are recovered from your injury. Really liked your early season edit looking uphill at Wildcat as you raced down the rocks.

Seriously. Well done, sir. I remember when I could keep up with you at a Mammoth Mini way back when -- although I may have been helped by its being your birthday the night before.

The snow looks rough. I guess they had to build the kickers because the natural terrain would have given no chance for air time? It seems like its all sloping meat grinders down there.

If Julian Lopez is in 3rd with that big bobble, conditions must have really roughed up everyone else.

I believe he's competed at Kirkwood twice in the last 4 years.
He can be like a cat.
Where's the standings list link? Googled for it to no avail...

Right, OK, still, after watching the 'highlights' video... his run was a handful of points better than everyone elses. Julien would have been about 3-4 back without that big bobble.

Powder Mag interview. with Chicherit about his comeback, changes in the tour, and the differences between the US and euro tours.... If you haven't seen it, check out the footage of the his line from the 2000 Gravity Games, the man is definitely a beast!!

No way it was 350 mph or kph. Either way those conditions looked like absolute hell.
