    12-30-04 Bratwurst Pow Day

Stoy-Twoplanker-Myself-And two Iowans took the sled in four miles and lapped the shizz out of a special area. Brought the barbecue, beer, Bailey's, Southern Comfort, and hot chocolate.

Twoplanker and I will both be posting videos here later. Mine won't be until tomorrow. I got home and had two snowblow my driveway for a third time in 24 hours. And I'm hammered tired from it.

Looks like a great day out there. I'm sure everyone on here has heard me say it a million times, but skiing on storm days is my favorite thing in the world. Arcing through the trees with fat flakes falling, its soft, silent, it feels like you are totally enveloped in a world of soft and downy whiteness. I live for storm days in the trees. I only ski resorts out west, but my dream would be about 12-18 inches overnight, wake up to find the temp has dropped to about 12 or 15 degrees and puking snow, get about a foot or more during the day. Oh yeah, thats what it's all about.

Sorry for the ramble, the pics kinda sent me to that happy place.

if those guys were really from iowa you'd be drinking anglers instead of cutty. don't they get the full strength without the "you shouldn't be drinking that" tax?

Ohhhh, what a day in Logan. Brats, beer, powder, and Iowans that keep going like the Energizer Bunny. Super powder and super people = good times.

Here's another little video from the Lo' Riders....

    (~3 minutes, ~9 megs)

    Twoplanker, Nice chase scenes.

For anyone that tours with Stoy, if you want to get home before dark, make sure he runs out of duct tape.

And if you tour with the tall Iowan, forget it, your skiing well after dark.

    Stoy-2Planker,

I just threw down this morning and bought a Megamid. Couldn't wait for Stoy's bro deal. Had to get it.

So the next trip like this we will have a kick ass shelter and a roll-a-table.

    That was very inspiriing!

Alex looks like he found heaven.

And from the far away shots, Alex looks like he is damn near on a snowboard, or more should I say he looks like he is surfin the snow. So fluid, have known just a handful of peeps that make it look that easy and super fun.

Cant wait to get my binders and skins to join the fun. Smoke signals are out and the money is set aside. Soon can't come soon enough.

You guys are going to have it real deep for a while said the news just now.

That looks sweet. You guys are getting puked on up there. Alta wasn't a bad place to be today though, except for the holiday lift lines.

Thanks BUzz. Wish I could rock the turns like that all the time.

Megamid, new snow, and the days are getting longer is trouble. Best stock up on a roll of duct tape
There's a world out there full of color, dreams, and imagination. What are you waiting for?

If you quit setting off slides, you probably can and will.

What IS the deal with you and your duct tape? So confused.

    Buzz,

He broke the tip connector on his skins on lap 3 or 4. Then he just duct taped them for 3 or so more laps.

When he runs out of duct tape, he's out of luck. Unless he decides postholing sounds fun. Then you're screwed, you're coming out in the dark.
