    Discussion:

If you like southwest flow, strong wind, clouds and snow then this is your lucky week. There’s lots more to come. We’ve got a bit of a rest day today with light snow showers and medium winds before the next wave of the seemingly endless series of storms hits. Tonight we should have 40 mph ridge top winds from the southwest with ridgetop temperatures near 18 degrees. Friday and Friday night things should get interesting with very strong winds, 50, gusting to 80 from the southwest with heavy snow. We could have another couple feet of snow by Saturday morning, which should drop ridge top temperatures down to around 12 degrees and winds decreasing to a more reasonable 20 mph from—you guessed it—the southwest.

    Extended forecast:

Then a rest day on Saturday afternoon with the next copycat storm hitting on Sunday morning with snow and 30 mph winds from the southwest and ridge top temperatures dropping to 10 degrees. If that’s not enough, there’s another one like it but more westerly flow, on Thursday.

    Sorry. Geez. Chill dude.

It is hot as hell and the middle of the summer. I thought some reminiscing threads about winter storms would be a nice bump for a hot day.

I remember those storms. And the giant avalanches that followed.

Sure would be nice if something came along and covered South Florida in snow.
