High chance of spotting bakerboy in the pink sections, seasonal depression is sweeping through the blue, and the spicy food is delicious in the green areas.Red means stop and turn around, and white represents areas of low cranial pressure.

I thought white meant time to get in your car and drive towards the pink?

Sorry. But you gotta admit, it's pretty rare and sweet that 80-90% of the worthwhile ski areas in the western half of the country are about to get pummeled....

    Heh. What she said.

Don't worry KQ- we're on a mission to Utah (wow, mission & utah in the same sentence! random!) to the pink this week and get to the bottom of this dry PNW winter (hopefully bribing him back here with some tasty full strength Mirror Pond Ale). There looks like a little sliver of hope- maybe White Pass or Crystal- in a dark area toward Yakima (crossing fingers now!)

I'm super stoked to be riding in Utah this weekend, but at the same time, really down about our year here- I mean, we'd be lucky to get Alpental open by the end of January. I really hope we can get a bunch of moisture out of this in the PNW. If anyone needs it the most, it's certainly in WA/BC/OR

That's my website, Brett, which I use to post photos when they are part of Flash websties, like the one the image in question came from, the National Weather Service's Western Region headquarters. Alt-PrintScr copies the screen's contents, which I made into a JPG, and uploaded for your viewing pleasure. It's current as of 15 minutes ago, ca. 13:45 PST 12/29/04.

Oh, I see. (said the blindman, as he walked into a post)

I was browsing the site, and I was like, "damn, whoever this is takes really good photos"!

I also bookmarked that weather site, thanks. Sorry for my ignorance.

No worries, mang. Hope your rain in Vail tunnrs to snow, there's nothing worse than rain at the base, which we have to endure @ Squaw probably 10 times a year. (And thanks for the props about the photos...)
