yeah, it's warm here, about 40 degrees. Snowing on top though im sure.
Could one of you drive to Vail Pass and tell me what is happening up there? If you have extra time check Jones Pass to. Thanks
I'm on it!Originally Posted by climb2ski

its dumping here at Solitude, prolly 14" so far.
In late Dec? that's unheard of.
Old's Cool.
Welcome to your average storm in the Sierra.
Well, you gotta realize the base of flail is only around 8,000'. 14" down in Silverton and more to come.
confirmation of the rain. not too worried - should be good tomorrow up top. maybe it will keep the gapers in tomorrow. fucking ridiculous out there past two days. to be expected though.
oh no! your fur coat is getting wet!![]()
Aspen had 4-5 by the end of the day. It rained at base to just above little nells, but slalom hill was great. It was pouring until dusk and then the freezing level came down and it dumped for a couple of hours. It will be good in the morning.
should I put chains on my H2?
I figure I'll chain up around Idaho Springs....

This is my 40th winter in CO and I've never ever seen it rain in Dec. at
altitude, but it did all day yesterday!![]()

Tavi gets his wish:
Vail dropped 8 inches on top of whatever got rained on. Now, if someone will just stop the Denverites on i-70 for you, you might have enough room to ski !Hopefully it will, like Sierra and Cascade storms, dump a few feet of snow on top of that wet stuff.
TGR forums cannot handle SkiCougar !
Skicougar is my least favorite poster on this board. As a Denverite, I'm sorry if I 'clog up the slopes' so your rich texan ass doesn't have room to ski. I doubt you're ever on the same slopes as many of us on here. I rarely wait in lines, ski crowded slopes, or sit in traffic. Quit hating just because you live in a shithole swamp.Originally Posted by SkiCougar
I'm leaving soon go go ski powder for the next 3 days within a 2 hour drive of my house. Being a Denverite is terrible.

FUCK OFF ski cougar ! I don't have a clue about you but I know Homer well enough that if he says you is bad people...well you is bad people. Hope to see you real soon on I-70

Here's another lame example of how someone disagrees with another here and the bandwagon lobbyists get there rocks off with their sheep mentality. However, we pay income taxes and own this place, go back to the beach. I'm about tired of all you Griswalds and tourons anyhow.
shit at least you dont have a whole lot full of Colorado plates, those dudes are a pain to deal withOriginally Posted by BlurredElevens
My wish was for a pacific style storm involving 6 inches of wet snow followed by 2 feet of pow. This hardly qualifies. That 8 inches of mung was just the foundation. We'll see what happens with these other storms piling up.Originally Posted by SkiCougar
