Being tired of crappy Scandinavian furniture, I'm looking for a carpenter in the Seattle area to build 4~5 strong, simple bookshelves out of American hardwood.
I just don't think that Ballard Bookshelf Company is charging a good price.
Needs:
- Prefer to pay fellow maggot in cash, some percentage up front.
- Prefer long-lasting joinery.
- Shelves should not deform when moving or warp when loaded heavily (reenforce as necessary)
- Metal fastening is acceptable where needed (e.g. angle iron for reenforcement) but less desirable where joinery is feasible.
- Shelves are to be sanded and stained.
- Your own tools, workspace, and truck to move the finished product to my place.
- Parts/materials to be discussed and paid separately from labor.
PM please.
