Ogden? Too expensive, too crowded and too many hipsters. Lots of JCL’s wearing Made In Ogden hats and t-shirts. Surprising lack of decent restaurant options given the size. Trails and outdoor activities exponentially more crowded than just a few years ago. Hell, I think you could probably walk across Causey reservoir on the SUP’s on any given weekend.

Lots of transplant Karen’s who will yell at you for an off leash dog, but easy to ignore them. MTB trails slowly becoming sanitized to dirt sidewalks devoid of flow. Local bc spot is full most weekends (parking) but luckily, everyone skis one sub ridge exclusively. Traffic to Snowbasin is frustrating but at least they keep making more parking lots so that the lift lines are worse. Meth is getting harder to find. Yeah, total old man get off my lawn vibes, but as the OG Ogden mag (afaik) I’m entitled to extra bitch tickets I think?

Has Ogden moved into the negative end of the Ogden scale yet?

    Preach on FlyK,

Sounds like regular "cool people ruining cool places" type of thing. Who gonna make the "it was better before you got here, ask me how I know" bumper stickers.

You ain't living until the Stroller Mom's FB Page organizes a power push up the flow trail at 5pm. As in literally, double digit stroller fest with toddlers playing on the jumps and everything.

I used to think it was a lack of awareness but I've transitioned to blatant entitlement. I feel grateful that I can navigate it without getting fired up, but it has gone next level jump about everywhere.

Sounds like where I live, but 15 years ago. Houses in Ogden are 1/3 of the price of houses here. Reservations required for the only ski area worth a damn. Funny thing is, our popular trails are popular (duh!) and get sanitized, but there are lots of lesser known trails that are mostly unknown and I see few people on them.

Having never been there, Ogden looks great on paper!
