Thumbs up Roll Call High Life SuperShow this thurday in Denver

The Mrs. and I will be there. The only TGR supershows I've been to have been completely off the hook. Besides it supports the cool folks that let us into their house daily and don't even put banners on the web pages.

    Details:

Thursday the 13th @ 7 pm. The Gothic Theater.

Maybe we can come up with some sort of pre-game festivities as well. Those Utards continue to put us Coloraggots to shame.

Like a hot dog eating contest at that bar? A chaser Shot after each dog to keep things sanitary.

Glad it’s at The Gothic, don’t know if I’ll make it but props for keeping it out of LoDo!

I'm in. Do you want to warm it up at a bar near the venue or at a casa de maggot. We could certainly get lubricated at my house.

We're screening it here in St. Louis on Thursday as well, except ours has been dubbed the super-duper oh-my-fucking-god show of the century.

Wish you were here for it, MD9.

are there any decent englehood spots to pre-lube? there's got to be something better than the smoke-filled E.coli factory we went to last time. are you close to the Gothic foggy?

I live in Park Hill/ Stapleton so I'm not really close. Englewood is more known for its adult bookstores and buy here/pay here used car lots than good bars. The only place I can think of that fits is the Hornet. Its a pretty decent place for beers and apps. Its on about 1st and Broadway so about 30 blocks north of the Gothic.

are you kidding me!? That place rocked! 2 for 1 drinks, culture, and a bartender that flunked math (board getting 3 drinks for $2.00).

I'm deeply commited to being a maybe, the little lady's still pissed at my performace for Focused.

    Englewood spots:
El Tephuan - Stunningly mediocre mexican food but, they have beer.
Len & Bill's Bar (okay still in D-town) B-way and Iliff (Okay, you guys will get yer fokkin asses kicked here)
Tavern 13 (FKA the Groggery) - right next to Pasquinis on Bway (& Louisiana still in Denver)
Broadway Grill (I think that's its name)- 1 blk N. of the surplus store
There's also a bowling alley right by the gothic
Allstars (Oxford & Santa Fe) - Okay this one will be expensive 6 bucks cover and $5 bottles but the talent is undeniable, plus the new all nude room is a helluva deal.
Campus Inn (eat at Jerusalem first, drink at the Campus Inn - just W. of DU on Evans)

Me thinks your getting your Campus Lounge "The 'Pus" confussed with your Stadium Inn "The Stadium". The 'Pus in on University and Expo (700 South). It would make the perfect pre/happy/dinner joint with cheap beers, food, pool, foos, jukebox, loose townie women etc. We'd still have to drive to the Gothic, about 5mins.

You don't even know the half of it this year again and I can't remember the other half.

It was off the hook and we all woke up still drunk. Breakfast never tasted so good. Then the hangover kicked in at around 3pm on Sat and continued till just now.

Oh, MD9 you know how you said 1 in five will find God, i.e. the porcelian one. 2 of 6 did it this time and they were the female kind. It was Mrs. Buzzworthy's Bifrday on Tuesday and it sucked for her so we made up for it Friday nite. She was in full Buzzworthy mode, very impressive. Equally impressive is the amount of Barfday she showed back at the Marriot.

I was called by Woodsy and was told that his GF is no longer allowed to hang out with my wife. I guess she went nuts too.

Too much fun hanging with Gordy, Brant, Chris, Matt, Jeremy, Sage and more. Maggots out the wazzu and phUnk was in full Buzzworthy mode too as he was in rare form.

Found Woodsy and Powho later in OSchucks and then I believe my mind shut off. Right after the girls found us there too. Good thing.

    End brain cells and story.

Sweet. I could meet where ever makes sense to the majority. I'll also offer up my place as a drinking location prior to the show if people are more in the mood for a house party. We've got plenty of booze and a nail gun.

I'm stoked. Let's get so drunk that we have to buy the movie due to blacking out the evening. I've already got my clothes picked out:

I doubt I will come - getting to Denver is tougher and tougher. With the network of trails throughout Summit County, I may leave civilization altogether.

I would like to see some ski movies though. Maybe some of us could get together for one in Summit County or even Vail?

Ok this would be my first choice and I’m not kidding about the hotdog eating contest with shots in-between. iskibc just volunteered. I’m good for 5 dogs and 5 Wild Turkey 101 shots, that’s guarantied, sack it up yuppies.

That costume plus a couple of bowls of chilli would put you in jail.

Woops. Friggin lurking dads are ruining this place.

(Buster - sorry for the emoticons, but they seemed appropriate here)

Edit: Oh, by the way, where is everyone meeting? I wanted to send a couple of semi-mag buds (i.e. phatstix, hyrupz) to join in the madness.
