Mt. Baker beta request

I just landed here in Seattle a few hours ago. From what the Baker snow report says they got pounded on. Heading up there in the next couple hours. Anyone got recommendations on a cheap hostel or floor space? Also any spots to grab discount lift ticket before I leave Seattle? Any maggots skiing tomorrow? Hope the place didn't get fully tracked out today.

Gonna grab some grub and check back in a couple hours.

just got back to seattle from baker. departed whistler this morning to get the "goods" that got dumped on baker. twenty inches of west coast pow (think semi thick). good in the morning and settled towards the afternoon as usual. there were a good number of people on the hill today so it got pretty packed down. still worth the trip and for sure the best option in the PNW (unless you want to go to whistler for the high end drinking and longer runs). looks like maybe a few more inches overnight.

if you are ready to rock with your trans and can find somebody to go out with you and show you around, the backcountry should be pretty good.

Baker doesn't participate in any discount ticket deals. No hostels in the area. cheep hotels available in Bellingham, starting at 39 for motel 6. Can't help you on the floor space either I'm afraid.
