Been on 93, so I know thats a nice open relatively straight road in a high valley below most passes, at least to about Cranbrook... but how is the 23 to the 6 (Revelstoke-Golden).. Is this highway similar to 93?... or is it a long, many curves, and possible weather problem road? I know there is also a ferry at Shelter Bay, but that seems simple enough.
Just trying to figure out if we come in from up north, leave Kicking horse and head toward Nelson, which would be the better way to go..hwy 93 to hwy 3 (95) or hwy 23 to hey 6?
go through cranbrook, cruston and kootenay pass. the golden-revelstoke-galena bay-nakusp way is way more of a headfuck which includes windy roads, a ferry crossing and two sketchy passes.
Thanks..that was one consensus I got from someone during a ski show, but wasn't sure if it was a ploy to get me to stop at Kimberly at one of "his" resorts. Guess he was being honest!
