Ah yes. The stale DNA "evidence" scoop. ::yawn:: Lame for you to bring up an old anecdote. Whatever would make you think the various writers and people chronicled in the BofM were of necessity Jewish? Maybe it would help if you read it. Good answer for you here.
Hey - why not bring up the "Salamander Letter?" It's just as weak.
I am really getting sick of seeing religious crap on this forum when it should be about skiing.

Good luck hopped. I have never said that to a Missionary before. Have had ill feelings for them. Guess that is what happens when you try to hate more than you try to open up your mind. We all are different.

That being said, DO NOT talk to Frozenwater about his mission. You may end up on PBR and work for TGR.

With such a unique local, take advantage of the flavor of Brasil. Like Stoy said, dance, learn to love the music, eat new food, meet people in a setting other than your suit, enjoy yourself, take it all in,............

Actually it was a question and for me an honest one. I enjoy asking critical questions about any religion and wouldn’t be surprised if hopped encounters someone asking the same in the future.

Yes, I admit when asking I’ll often come across cynical.

Some day I’ll plop up a bunch of Qs in the padded room. Most will be Mormon because that is what I have the most interest in at this time. Sorry, they won’t be soft and fuzzy but I’ll try to keep the snide attitude honest.

Thanks, the agnostic leaning towards atheism.

interesting thread. it's interesting to see some people who seem to consider themselves "open minded" ripping on an excited kid who simply wanted to share something important to him with his fellow maggots.

I remember when Mormons would come to my house in college. my roommates thought it was fun to answer the door and then say, "hold on, I'll go get Lone Star" and then find me and tell me people were at the door for me. ha.

Anyway, glad to hear you're excited about your mission, hopped. have fun, learn a lot, and keep an understanding and open mind--- but not too open that your brain falls out, of course

Definitely learn to dance, learn to surf, enjoy the food, the music, a completely new culture, and HIKE! Such a beautiful and unique country (almost a continent really) and you got a great chance to really experience it:

Sorry, M. My mistake. I thought you were deliberately trying to stir up trouble in a thread that didn't deserve it. My apologies.
