I know the delivery companies/people are quite busy this time of year, but I've been having particularly bad luck. I ordered a pair of Smith Triad Regulators and DHL says it was delivered 3 weeks ago, but I don't have them. I wanted them before Alta and now with the x-mas chaos I may not have them before Jackson.
Now for the funny story...FedEx came today. I was happily eating breakfast and he dropped off two boxes. I was hoping one would be the said goggles above. He turns around and drives out. We have a 500ft driveway with a big white fence at the end, the main fence posts are a foot thick and ten ft high or so. I go around back and get the packages, but realize they are for my neighbors and not us. I bring them back in the house and I hear a ring at the front door. Theres the FedEx guy and I say, "Oh did you deliver the wrong packages?" He looked confused and I explained that the two packages he just dropped off were for my neighbor and I said I would go get them. As I turned around he said, "Well theres another problem too."
I come back and hand him the packages and he begins to explain what the "other" problem is.
Fed Ex Guy: "Ummm, I hit your fence"
Me Thinking to Myself: "Well people have tapped or knicked the fence before"
Fed Ex Guy: "The whole fence is knocked over, must have slipped on some ice or something"
Me: I look beyond the guy and see the entire 10 foot high, 1 foot thick fence post knocked over with the rest of the L shaped fence shattered and on the ground.
He proceeded to tell me that he reported it and that myself or my parents could call FedEx and get it straightened out
Riiiight. First off there was no ice, it was warm and everything was thawed and he had to have looked down and hit the fence head on because it its a biggg fence.
Right before he left he mumbled, "I hate this time of year."
Happy Holidays from FedEx.
