What a crock. That's some new math marketing right there. If you've skied LCC for almost 40 years like I have, you'll know it is absolutely impossible for snowbird's season total to be that close to alta's. Ever.
For example when Alta reached 700" in '05, '99, and '98, snowbird's total was still in the 500's.
Snow physics haven't suddenly changed. If Alta's 702", you can bet the ranch snowbird's actual is 500-something. But, whatever. Can't deny it works for marketing.
Does it really matter? It's a fucking deep snowpack anyway you cut it.
they better move alta's plot to a more 'representative' location, because its deep as fuck top to bottom left to right all the time and often 15 inches is 30 but who cares.
seems like the bird is deep in the mid elevation and on the left side thats coinsidentally closer to alta. top is wind scour, mineral is sun beat, bottom is rain, and around baby thunder it just doesn't snow sometimes. but whatever snowbird congrats on breaking your 'record'.

Sitting at 705" right now with 25" in the forcast before closing day Sunday.
720" = 60 Feet. 60 FEET!
Ullr must be a leftie. I was there for a week and didn't see a FLAKE!
Awww crap... again?
This message is hidden because Downbound Train is on your ignore list.
At least you finally posted something remotely related to skiing. Feeling o.k.?
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I'm thinking mid July before the stuff up high is open this year.
made my first uphill climb of 2011 yesterday - shitloads of snow - great turns till the end of july

More stoke, less shit.
I don't think he gives a flying fuck about politics
Ullr is a skier
Pretty funny though you would waste all your time sowing the seeds of fuctarded poli asshattery and expect the snow gods to bestow the blessing of over the shoulder cold smoke blower pow for you to reap.

I don't vote, so today was GREAT!
What a f-in crock! So Alta who shares a ridge with Snowbird that goes all along P-gulch and then along Baldy including the backside called Chamonix, gets 200 more inches? Bullshit dudes. Sure at times Alta gets more snow, sometimes Baby Thunder get more snow than Little Cloud, sometimes given the characteristics of snowstorms it totally friggin dumps in Mineral Basin and the front-sides of both Snowbird and Alta get squat. Yep, Alta gets more snow than Snowbird, Brighton does too. But way more...? Not even.
This reminds me of the old saying/T-shirt - "Alta is higher than Snowbird", of so then why when one is at the top of Snowbird is the top of Alta lower? OK, Alta is higher up the canyon where is snows more sometimes, but not always and usually not much, and never 200 inches a year.
