Meaningless Pro Skier Question
Normally I don't really care what athlete rides for what company, etc. But reading the R.I.P. Freeze, I came accross a bit on confusion. Maybe it perplexes me just because I work in the advertising world...
Early in the mag, Salomon has a 2-page spread featuring Candide and his teneighty lab pro model. They probably spent a nice chink for that ad. Flip some pages, then there is a 2-page spread for the Rossignol Scratch that says "Welcome Candide" and a photo of him taped to the back of a car.
So, is he riding for Solly or Rossi? Why would Salomon spend the advertising money on him if he is with a new company? I guess they just want to get those skis sold.
Any insight?
