That would be comic gold. Maybe Paladino can move to the city and run too.

Didn't know Spitzer was running for anything, but I would rather he ran for POTUS than the douche known as Trump.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

I am guessing we would see a lot of commercials sponsored by "Friends of Anyone Not Named Elliot Spitzer."

Lotta deep pockets on the other side of that trade.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

I think the guy is brilliant. Yes, he fucked up and that was stupid. But he is a very smart man and a fantastic political mind.
There, I said it. Haters gonna hate.

    Grasso for MAYOR?

He and Rahm Emanuel would probably get into a small man's dick waving contest halfway across the continent.

Can someone please educate me? The only things that I know about Eliot Spitzer is that he committed a fairly victemless crime (except for his wife, maybe), and he ranted early and often 6-7 years ago about how bad for the economy the home loans that were being made were (and he was dead nuts on right). Was he using tax payer money for his hookers? What did he do that was so bad? I really don't know much about him one way or the other.

Eliot Spitzer never said much about the methods used to pump up the housing market while he had any power. He make his bones as NY AG going after the corruption on Wall Street during the previous bubble, the dot com debacle. He forced Hank Greenberg from his CEO position at AIG (before anybody heard of AIG) due to fishy accounting. He also went after high executive compensation, especially Dick Grasso's when he was the head of the NYSE. When elected governor, he promptly went after the corruption in Albany, personified by his fight against the King of NY state corrupt politics, Joe Bruno. He eventually lost the case against Grasso and could have been censured for the use of state police to spy on Bruno, but got caught with his pants down schtupping a high priced whore, and all was forgotten about that particular blunder (the spying, that is). Bruno was eventually convicted, but, at age 83, may never see jail time due to a recent Supreme Court ruling negating one of the major crimes he was convicted of (theft of services). I liked Joe Bruno - he was my state senator in Saratoga Springs when I lived there, and I was impressed how he fixed things and brought home the bacon, but I was also a huge fan of the Sopranos.
But, I digress. Spitzer is despised by Wall St. and the financial world, because of the above mentioned crusades of his. Very much so. If you are ever offered a job with any company in the world of finance, it would be wise to call him a fucking asshole if asked your opinion. You really can't lose on that one. I personally think he's a very bright guy, but way too aggressive and full of anger issues to be a politician - law enforcement is more his cup of tea, or, now, muckraking. I also think he's one of the few talking the truth about the great crimes committed upon us by the financial oligarchy in the last decade in my television set. I think he would make a crummy mayor, unless he has really been humbled by his recent experiences. I'd rather see him looking under the rocks and showing us the filth.

Here he is calling for some of Goldman's heads or Holder's head if he doesn't prosecute Goldman. I totally agree. This is his specialty, after all. We need a president who would appoint him AG. Fat chance.

    Also starring Matt Tabbi:

    Soooooo true!

At my last private equity firm, they literally all stopped working and were popping champagne open, running celebrating through the halls when the news broke of him boning call girls. (aside- fucking hypocrites they all were banging cl hookers on the side too). They were also all excited about doofus patterson taking over. My cfo said "whoooo and the new guy will never catch us because he's blind!" Then he high fived the managing partner.

uck, dickfaces. I am so glad to now work in healthcare

Anyways, go spitzer, go! I hope he wins and nails all those fuckers balls up to the wall.

    Old joke:
q: What's the most powerful position in NY state?

    a: Working under the governor

Maybe he could get elected. Though AFAIK, none of his persecutions resulted in any verdicts of guilt; he's like oh-for-six.
