    Conumer Electric Stimulation Machines

Who has purchased a cheaper EMS machine? Which machines do you recommend? I was diagnosed with Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome. My left VMO is firing late, my IT Bands are tight. Both these conditions are causing my patella to be pulled laterally. I would like to use EMS to stimulate it and retrain it to fire as it should. I've been attacking this from every angle and the exercises, foam rolling, and stretching has all helped. I want to try EMS as I have heard people have had great results. I know it's not going to cure me alone.

Went for my first mellow ride today in a month and felt pretty good, but I know I need to stay on top of it to be pain free and compete at the level I am accustomed to racing mountain bikes this season.

I was thinking of buying one for myself to help with rehab at home for my ACL Recon. Anybody have one at home? What about KneeHab?

I have a compex sport. I tore my achiles in May, and in my first two weeks after surgery, lost a lot of leg muscle.
Started using the compex on my quads, hamstring and butt, and in 4 weeks, gained 1 1/2 inches in circumference, which I believe it's all muscle.
But you have to go pretty high with the current. I noticed improvement above 55 mA, and I got to 65mA. This is really high, the contractions i my quads are unbelievably strong, much stronger than any weights I ever lifted. You sit in a chair and have to anchor your ankles to the chair legs.

I purchased one from LG Med Supply for my second ACL recon. It was only $200 and my benefits covered the cost. It's also a TENS machine. My ortho doc says muscle stimulators are useless, of course my PT begged to differ, but they are fun. My doc had to write me a script for it to be covered. I got my PT to write down the power levels that I was using at the office so I could set mine up the same. I don't really know if they work but if you think they do then go for it.
