    Cream reunion

Heard on the radio today that Cream is going to play a few shows at some point before long. I think they might be doing some new stuff, which I'm curious (if not overly optimistic) about, and I think it'll be interesting to hear them 'covering' themselves.
    Anyone else heard about this?

I haven't heard aboot a Cream reunion but that's sweet news. You should check out Masters of Reality: Sunrise on the Sufferbus. Ginger Baker, Chris Goss and...some other dude.

Wheels of fire was probably their finest album but the song "Steppin out" off Live Cream Volume 2 was my favorite song of theirs.
    thats new hampshire as fuck

    This From Radio and Records:

Eric Clapton has astounded the music world by finally agreeing to reform Cream, 36 years after they split up at the height of their worldwide fame. Cream have played together only once since at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Los Angeles in 1993. Rehearsals for the reunion, with new material, are expected to begin early in the new year ...

That's all they had on the subject. Hopefully it will feature the Clapton of the seventies instead of the sit down acoustic Clapton of the early 90's.

If You like Clapton you should see if you can get your hands on "Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert". It was his first concert after his drug addiction and on it he plays with Townsend, Wood, Grech, Karstein and Winwood.

You hope he's coked up, strung out, and depressed?
Actually, I think Clapton plays better today than he ever did, but I haven't heard a whole album by him recently.
I used to have the Rainbow Bridge album, I liked the Blind Faith song(s?) they did, but didn't think the album as a whole was that great--I remember the mix being pretty muddy.

Old Slow Hand revealed to BBC Radio 2 last week that he and his former mates in rock's first supergroup, singer-bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Ginger Baker, are planning to reunite for four shows next May at London's Royal Albert Hall, the legendary venue where the power trio played its final gig in 1968......
......So far there are no Cream concerts on the Royal Albert Hall schedule for May, but Clapton said tickets would be going on sale very soon, and all four concerts would be recorded for eventual release on CD and/or DVD......
....I'd like it to happen," Bruce told Forbes writer Jim Clash for his 2003 book To the Limits. "But I wouldn't be prepared to do it, really, unless it was a challenge. And the challenge would be to come up with new material somewhere close to as strong as the stuff from the old days."
edited to leave out what y'all said aready, hope the muse hits em for some new rippin material.

as a former drummer I always thought ginger baker was, well God.

I spent some time with Jack Bruce on the road and have seen him perform many, many times. He's truly one of the most amazing musicians I've seen live - mesmerizing. Let's hope his liver holds out.
